Society of drug addicts
Before the group session at the psychologist (whom patients accused of incompetence and inexperience more than once) the participants of the Doctor Life were assigned a difficult "homework". They had to remember their enemies and friends from their past life. The participants did not have so many real friends, but a hostile environment revealed brightly in their responses.
With the help of the psychiatrists Elmira Satybekova, the Italian suddenly realizes that nothing has changed around him, except that he is in the hospital, but his circle of communication are still drug addicts. For a man with a dozen, by his own confession, he looked too confused in the face of this discouraging fact.
First of all, psychologists listen carefully to each of the participant - any autobiographical speech usually carries the identity of the speaker. Free and relaxed Gleb claims that he perceives the enemies as an obstacle to his drug treatment. Victor prefers a different style, he brutally and straightforwardly speaks of a single enemy, unwittingly for himself, speaking very figuratively. In the situation of his departure, he said to his arch-enemy, who was offering his hand in token of reconciliation, "Do not offer your hand, the trains go fast here. They might hook you suddenly".
Anatoliy seems to understand better than anyone else of what was going on. At the right time, he couldn't prevent Ekaterina of his own bad influence and he realizes that "train" in the words of Victor is more than just a train - it was him, irrepressible and addicted. The psychologist compared him with the devil-tempter, but it can also be understood as the fact that communication with the patient should be only through a gauze bandage. Because the addict walking on the edge, will lead inevitably to the thicket sin; due to the social habit of wearing masks and feeling yourself only among the group of friends of the same misfortune. Addicts converge through common features: wretched and cracked. As it is seen by the story of the Italian, the society seeing this strain and infection excludes a person. Makes the worst for the social animal - excludes him from the communication.
The Doctor Life project demonstrates not a paradox, but a rule: with the change of the environment parameters the addict changes as person. Although this can be considered as chameleon skills, because of the tolerance and belief in recovery of the staff, it creates an illusion, a veil that it will be easy to get rid of the narcotic past, as the participants returned back to a normal society. But no, the doctors remind the patients, that they are still in the circle of drug addicts and fundamentally nothing has changed. "Think, if you can think!" - the psychiatrist provokes an internal struggle in the Italian.
But 25-year-old Alex was affected the most in the sixth episode. Professor Nazaraliev himself meets Alex to shake and activate the protective mechanisms of the psyche, to reveal the former champion in Thai boxing, to return to the past junior wins and to pull out willed reserve. By saying simple things in accessible language, the professor teaches a lesson of how to train the will, the shortage of which is found in all the participants in the middle of a treatment.
Gleb, the loosest participant, while talking to his father on Skype, hears that the Doctor Life is raising a public resonance, and every participant shows a good example of struggle with addiction. In this case, Gleb vaguely says that he gives consent to post links on Facebook. That was the reason why Gleb was badly offended by his parent in the last episode.
From all this comes the conclusion - if the participants are still expressing a lack of willpower, haughtiness and stupidity, it is only because they still unconsciously see themselves in the society of addicts and contrast themselves with the socium in general. Professor Nazaraliev faces a difficult task: through the revival of normal reflections of a healthy person to lead the participants to the integral perception of the world, dashing a pernicious selfishness of each. In fact, he is the closest friend to them, but they have not realized it yet.
