Exorcism
SEPT – a stress-energy psychotherapy is often compared with this mystical practice. Professor Nazaraliev is often called exorcist – because the patient experiences very specific sensations during the procedure.
Ekaterina Antipova and Victor Malleker had to endure three days of mental stress - all this time they were preparing for the SEPT procedure while their comrades with a "stone of soul" behind their backs, walked 250 kilometers on a mountain road. The need of the third and final phase of treatment, the medical commission has determined based on the participants’ psychological abilities, physical endurance and level of initial motivation for recovery.
As Victor Malleker acknowledged, the last minutes before the start of the session were the most difficult. The former boxer was very disturbed, couldn’t find a place in the room while waiting for doctors. The SEPT procedure itself seemed to Victor fearful, though he could not see what was happening during the psychotherapy; he only heard orders of Nazaraliev and felt strong tingling in the neck, muscle tension and trembling of the whole body.
"It was scary, and dreadful, I have experienced all the emotions. It was hard physically. That bridge, so that the head adheres to the back, you get shakes – it is hard. I was afraid of falling. I promised that I will stand, stay until the end,"- he said.
Ekaterina Antipova also had the associations with the underworld. She was very scared and languorous. She barely stood until the end. Just like Victor, she did not see anything, only heard short remarks of the doctors.
"It's like they were demons running around me, shouting something, whispering in my ears, talking loudly. They whispers and talked loudly"- a girl shared.
During SEPT, the patient enters a kind of trance, and then in an altered state of consciousness, in which the patient partially disoriented in time and space, the doctors put into their inner space specific relevant preferences, they convince a person that he/she is able to resist the temptation, awaken their hidden volitional resources.
"If you're going to be in the company, with friends, where there will be drugs, you will abandon them. There is no such force that can make you abuse this infection, there is only one force - it is You, your vanity, and the unknown power that you are currently receiving. You're a strong person, and you're inspired. And in that vein and that kind of tone as if they were reading a prayer. It was creepy,"- Ekaterina said.
Doctors carefully monitored the condition of the patients, understanding that it is very difficult to withstand stress-energy psychotherapy. Specialists themselves have put a lot of efforts to the procedure, and after the session, they usually feel like a squeezed lemon. According to Ekaterina Antipova, Nazaraliev’s voice helped her to withstand until the end. As if some force, some kind of power and energy came from the professor that Viktor Malleker also felt:
"I just devoted myself to him. I heard his voice very often. Of course, I heard all the voices, but his voice, as he stood behind, I felt in safe hands. Devoted myself entirely. He helped me while standing behind."
Relief, a sense of liberation from some adversity - that's what the heroes of the reality TV experienced after SEPT. Almost immediately they collapsed into a deep sleep, they slept for two hours and woke up to start a new life that is free of drugs. Victor for the first time in fifteen years, felt happy. A confidence in the future appeared. The world shined with new colors.
"Even the Christmas tree started smelling. I’ve never felt its smell before. Happiness, joy, a new day begins to me,"- he said. There is no return to the past. They have been through the blockade, withdrawal, systems of psychotrainings, not to fall back into the quicksand of addiction.
"I’m in shock that all is wonderful. It turns out that life is wonderful. And I'm not going back there. That's it. That is why I have no fear. I'm not going back there. I'm leaving to St. Petersburg "- Ekaterina concluded.
