The participants did not expect this kind of turn of events. After returning back to the clinic with the completion of the Mindcrafting program in Issyk-Kul Lake, they did not know that the third stage of treatment will pass only six of them. They were confident, that the Council will decide who of the remaining participants will go on a pilgrimage, and who will pass the stress-energy therapy. And that would be it.
The Italian worried less than everyone else. An hour before the decision of doctors, to the question of who might be dismissed from the project at this stage, he said:
"What a strange question! Because we all go so smoothly and how can you be dismissed, for what? Only for a flagrant violation. But we are recovering. All adequate. None of us will do mistakes. So this question is irrelevant!"
Indeed, it was not easy for the doctors to decide which of the eight patients will leave the project before the finale. At least three were under question. Finally, after several hours of heated discussion, the decision was made by the Council to send two patients home: the Italians and Alex.
"From the beginning of the treatment process, we have seen quite a demonstrative form of behavior. He doesn’t have a deep understanding of the process of treatment. Even on the first day of admission to the clinic, he said: "I do not consider myself an addict","- Elmira Satybekova, the personal physician of the Italian said.
Let us recall that the participation of the Italian, a scandalous participant of the project, has been repeatedly put under question. But this time, the doctors made the final decision - to send him home from the hospital, not allowing him to go through the third stage. As it turned out, a lack of motivation and self-criticism in the patient - are also gross violations about which the Italian would possibly never know.
"It would be silly to argue with the professionals. I am very pleased that the doctors decided that I'm ready for the society. It gives me confidence, and I will not fail!"- he said afterwards.
Specialists recommended him to continue to work with psychologists and psychotherapists in his homeland. As for Alex, he was luckier. His doctors decided to send him to the medical leave. That means that three months later he will be able to return to the Nazaraliev’s clinic and finish the treatment. According to doctors, he is not ready to pass the third stage. However, they noted the progress the guy has been making.
"He passed a good school. But now he has a high anxiety, a lot of fears. In addition to drugs, he has a dependency to alcohol. But he is willing to work with psychologists and continue to fight, "- Alevtina Zhelonkina, a clinical psychologist said.
Alex accepted the news quite adequately. According to him, he feels well, the main thing is that he has a desire to fight on. "Upon arrival, first of all, I will gather the document and go to work. I will live!"- He shared.
Other participants are waiting for the final phase of treatment, to end their past life. Anatoly Andrey, Gleb and Irina will go on pilgrimage. Ekaterina and Victor will have to survive SEPT procedure literally. Whether they will cope or there is a risk of break in their case, we will see in the next episode.
